Ministers to Assisted Living Facilities
Mission: To celebrate and share the Liturgy of the Word and Eucharistic meal demonstrating the support of the Catholic faith community. Pastoral Care is a ministry of spiritual care, focused on nurturing each person’s spirit.
Description of agencies served: 12 local nursing homes and assisted living facilities
Volunteer opportunities: St. Matthew is in need of volunteers for our Pastoral Care Ministry. Our ministers have the privilege of visiting and sharing the Eucharist with those either home-bound or in nursing homes and independent and assisted living facilities. Time commitment of volunteers: Two hours on a Sunday morning, one week a month.
