Becoming Catholic

Are you thinking about becoming Catholic, or simply curious to learn more about the Catholic faith? Wherever you are on your journey, you are welcome here.

Becoming Catholic is a journey of faith, prayer and discovery. It is an opportunity to learn more about Jesus Christ and the Catholic Church, ask questions and discern where God may be leading you. There is no pressure to make a decision. We simply invite you to take the next step.

St. Matthew offers opportunities for children, teens and adults who are interested in learning more about the Catholic faith or preparing to receive the Sacraments of Initiation.

Explore the opportunities below:

  • Faith Formation – Learn more about faith formation opportunities for children and teens, including preparation for and completion of the Sacraments of Initiation.
  • Order of Christian Initiation for Adults (OCIA) – Information for adults who are exploring the Catholic faith, preparing to become Catholic or seeking to complete their Sacraments of Initiation.

If you have questions or are not sure where to begin, we would be happy to help. Contact Diane Kiradjieff, at dkiradjieff@stmatthewcatholic.org, to learn more and discuss the next step in your journey.
